GCG was founded by someone who has spent 13 years on the other side of the table — managing capital programs, leading design and construction oversight, building asset management strategies, and operating and maintaining the assets after handover.
Nicholas Gan spent his career at the Region of Peel, most recently as Manager of Engineering, where he led teams spanning all five of GCG's service areas — asset management and capital planning, condition assessment and rehabilitation, design and construction support, program and project management, and technical advisory. Capital throughput under his leadership scaled from approximately $1M annually in 2018 to over $100M annually in 2023, across watermain, transmission main, sanitary trunk sewer, forcemains and various water and wastewater facility infrastructure.
