Most consulting firms tell you what you could do. GCG was founded by someone who has spent 13 years on the other side of the table — managing capital programs, leading design and construction projects, building asset management strategies and owning and operating the assets afterward.

After spending 5 years in engineering consulting, Nicholas spent the next chapter of his career at the Region of Peel, most recently as Manager of Engineering, where he led teams spanning all five of GCG's service areas — asset management and capital planning, condition assessment and rehabilitation, design and construction, program and project management, and technical advisory. Capital throughput under his leadership scaled from approximately $1M annually in 2018 to over $100M annually in 2023, across transmission mains, sanitary trunk sewers, pumping stations and forcemains.
